The Ohio History Connection operates dozens of state historic sites across Ohio. Ohio Village, a reconstructed 1890s era city, is a living museum in the historic center of Ohio. Since 2012, it has been open to visitors from Memorial Day to Labor Day and for special events such as Country Living Fair, All Hallows Eve and Dickens of the Christmas.

The village is home to the famous Ohio Olive Islands, an old baseball club. Since 1981, buns have contributed to the preservation of the game as it was played in 1860. Competitions are held every year.

Field trips, outreach programs and training kits are available to train teachers with additional training in their classrooms. Distance learning courses are also offered.
